History
House Party 8 featured Serenity Falls from Rochester, Lower Town Trio from Lockport ... and Fresh Guac from Buffalo (including the famed WNY DJ, Optimus Prime). Plus The Rated R Rock Star, Josh Smith joined us again. And there was some swimming-pool related chaos.
House Party 7 offered two firsts: A comedian by the name of Josh Smith, the Rated R Rockstar, plus a band from outside WNY: Seizure 17 came up from Philly, PA just to rock Lockport. Plus we had Addictive Tragedy from Buffalo and Swinging Diamonds from right here in the Lock City.
House Party 6 added Karaoke to the mix ... and it went over like gangbusters. Plus Dopey Joe, ThinkSoBrain and The Beggar's Best played to the delight of a decent-sized crowd. All who came had a good time. Some, too good a time.
House Party 5, the first party of 2006, brought some rain, yes. But it also brought a great time and some great bands. Last of the Lost, Headfake, A2J and The Gravity Thieves rocked the joint and many guests added their flavor.
House Party 4 was the grand finale for 2006. Bob Z, Funbutton, ThinkSoBrain and A2J provided the music. A very hung over Hooter and Greenway provided the commentary. And we all had a great time.
House Party 3 was wet and wild. About 60 people battled mother nature for the honor of hearing Amnesty Box on a small casual setting. Everyone had a blast, but All WNY Radio show reviewer Thumb2TheEye wasn't impressed by everything. Oh well. Can't please all the people. Critics.
House Party 2 was a tribute to Dark Morning. It was desined as a CD release party ... but then their CD didn't get released on time. So it was a "hype up the upcoming CD party" and these guys did a great job. The weather kept some people at bay, but it was hella fun anyway. After the guys from Dark Morning left, we partied on.
HP1 was really a test of the emergency All WNY Radio system. and it passed with flying colors. J Ryan K and the Gravity Thieves had a little trouble telling time, but once they got there, they more than made up for it. In fact, I was so happy with Ryan, he's become All WNY Radio's official sound guy.
